As you know we love to come up with new ways to add just a little something extra to our fitted Great White Shirt series. And every season we conjure at least one variation to add to our growing repertoire.
Combing the beautiful archives of Shindo, the renown Japanese Ribbon house, which supplies all sorts of fun trims, cording, and ribbons to some of the world’s best design houses, we've selected two fetching ribbon patterns to revive our popular Striped Ribbon Trimmed GWS (Great White Shirt).
Starting with a crisp white royal oxford cotton shirting (replete with a subtle weave that plays nicely off the texture of a grosgrain ribbons) we’ve selected a neutral dark gray-white-khaki-striped ribbon, as well as a red-and-navy striped ribbon, both applied to the shirt in two widths. At the collar we’ve sewn a wider, 1-inch stripe ribbon down its back (pop it and you’ll see), while at each cuff’s placket, we’ve adhered a narrower ribbon of the same design.
It’s subtle we know, but great style doesn’t have to scream, it can whisper softly, too.
